Hi, I’m Christine — the heart behind Wild Root Rising.
I’m a mother, a grandmother, and a woman who knows firsthand what it feels like to lose touch with my body and then slowly find my way back home.
When I hit perimenopause, everything I thought I knew about food, weight loss, and energy shifted. I felt overwhelmed, frustrated, and disconnected — as though my body was no longer on my side. That season of my life was both humbling and awakening. It taught me that health isn’t about restriction or chasing numbers — it’s about nourishment, rhythm, and learning to listen deeply to what our bodies are asking for.
I’ve always been wild at heart and deeply rooted in the belief that our bodies hold wisdom. My character leans toward curiosity, resilience, and a willingness to grow through challenge. These qualities, along with my love for my family, keep me grounded in why this work matters: because when we feel good in our bodies, we show up more fully for the people and the life we love.
Wild Root Rising is born from this journey — a space where nutrition meets compassion, and where food becomes a way to rise into vitality, strength, and joy at any stage of life.
I’m here to walk beside you, not with quick fixes or deprivation, but with tools, encouragement, and the reminder that your body is wise, capable, and worthy of deep care.
My Approach
Back to the Basics

If you’re like most of us, you grew up surrounded by diet culture. One week it was all about cutting carbs, the next it was fasting, then it was “eat every two hours.” Add in the endless scroll of social media telling us what to eat, what not to eat, when to eat, and when to stop—it’s no wonder so many of us feel confused and disconnected from our own bodies.
At Wild Root Rising, I like to strip all of that noise away and come back to the basics: whole, real foods—eaten as close to nature as we can. Food that actually nourishes you, fills you up, and leaves you feeling good after the meal.
I also believe in giving the body breathing room. When we space out our meals, we allow our systems time to heal and reset naturally. Pair that with meals that truly satisfy, and you’ve got a rhythm that supports energy, weight release, and overall well-being.
But here’s the thing—it’s not always as simple as just changing what’s on your plate. Food is tied into so much more: our habits, our coping mechanisms, even the emotions we may not realize we’re carrying. Sometimes it shows up as cravings, addictions, or cycles we just can’t seem to break. Together, we’ll look not only at food, but also at the patterns beneath the surface—so you can shift from the root up, in a way that lasts.
A big part of that is understanding how our habits and hormones play into the bigger picture. Things like insulin and cortisol can quietly block weight loss and keep inflammation high, making it harder to feel our best. By learning how to work with our bodies instead of against them, we can reduce inflammation, balance hormones, and finally feel like things start to click.
This isn’t about restriction, punishment, or chasing the next big thing. It’s about reconnecting with your body’s wisdom, eating in a way that feels nourishing and sustainable, and rising into your healthiest, most vibrant self.
